“Suddenly I knew, I wanted to study International Commercial Law at an esteemed university abroad!” – Nadiya (VSBfonds graduate 2012)
Right now you’re an excellent & active student at HU, on your way to obtaining your bachelor degree. But what will you be doing when you finish? Where do your dreams take you after your graduation from HU? Have you ever thought of continuing your education abroad; boosting your CV, diving into another culture and gaining a valuable international experience? In that case keep reading!
Every year, VSBfonds offers scholarships worth a maximum of €10.000 to motivated students, who would like to pursue a master’s degree or a research project at a university abroad. A unique opportunity! You can be one of the 8 students HU can nominate for a grant this year. The selection is done by a committee of HU colleagues. They will be looking at your achievements at HU so far, but more importantly at your motivation and your active participation in society: what extra-curricular activities have you undertaken? This is because VSBfonds wants to invest primarily in students who are going to make a difference in Dutch society in the future.*
VSBfonds scholarship graduate Nadiya, who did a master in International Comparitive and Commercial Law in London, is very thankful for the opportunity she got: “My experience abroad though me a lot, especially to work even harder! In the future I will definitely continue to contribute to society. The past year I have been lucky enough to get to know so many visions and views on the world and society. This definitely influenced my own perception on life. All in all it was a very successful and valuable year, that actually went past way too fast!”
The deadline for applications to go abroad in 2014-2015 is on the 1st of March. The main requirements are simple: you need to be graduating before 1st of December 2014 and you need to go abroad between 3 to 24 months.
